we're exhausted from opening all our gifties (we myst have really loved the funny stuffed blobs with multiple tails, because we've lost both of them already...oops). but, auntie laura, the salmon juice was icky. sorry.

i guess i'll let our crazy woman use this photo as my official "woohoo! i'm 3!" photo. even though i'm hanging over her arm (that's her really snuggly green robe), i still look pretty darn cute.

our crazy woman knows how to celebrate an important birthday: she went to the store and bought a chicken breast just for me! ok, so i shared with annie, and i would have shared with her, but she had a funny look on her face when i offered. since she didn't eat any, annie & i get chicken for a couple more days. woohoo! and i got a basket! it arrived a few weeks ago so i've been test-napping in it, but it's obviously mine. happy birthday to me! happy birthday to me! (everybody, now) happy birthday, dearest, cutest byrdie, happy birthday to me! oh, and you could send gifts, if you want.

so our crazy woman's been knitting for the longest time, and until now, she's never knit anything for us! we'll forgive her, but only because our new mousies stick so nicely to our sharp little claws!

hmm. did we forget to tell you we might take a little break? this is really, really, hard work: not only do we have to do something interesting (ok, that's the easy part), but then we have to write about it...and that really interferes with our nap schedule. and, as if that weren't a lot for us to manage, we're also trying to get certified as hamster sitters so we can watch stumpy joe and tatto bob. don't tell auntie laura, but for some reason the instructor is making us take remedial hamster sitting courses over the summer...she said it had to do with that tiny little incident involving the hamster dolls and our impromptu game of catch. hmph.
