snoozy girls
we've got a new nap spot...and we can usually guilt our crazy woman into not making us move because you know we're just so sleepy ;)

stop the train!
we'll be getting off, now. do you know what we have to do to pass the service animal test? obey commands! commands? obey? us?

all aboard!
anna & i need to find a tutor. our crazy woman said if we can get ourselves officially licensed as service animals before christmas, we'll all go back to iowa on the train! we'd get a bedroom, and anna & i would get the top bunk! woohoo! our crazy woman says we shouldn't get our hopes up, though, because she's heard the service animal test is really, really hard and most kitties don't pass it the first time. plan b is for us to hide in the duffel bag...

out of order
dear dr. v, thank you for calling me a kumquat tonight instead of a giblet. i don't know what a kumquat is, but it sounds most exotic, and much nicer than a giblet. have you considered calibrating your scale? because i'm pretty sure i don't weigh 8.8 pounds, which, as you may recall, is more than anna. love, byrdie

never mind
dear dr. v, i've stopped growling at byrdie, so i'm keeping her. love, anna

second thoughts
dear dr. v, umm, maybe you could take byrdie back for a while? she smells funny, and i keep growling and hissing at her (and she's hissing back! hmph!). her tummy doesn't hurt anymore, so you did good there, but did you have to make her so smelly? love, anna p.s. i guess you did good on my checkup tonight, too, and thanks for clipping my toenails...but did you really have to poke me in the back like that? and if i'd known you were going to weigh me, i could have been more prepared because i'm sure most of that 8.6 pounds is fur. really.

free byrdie!
dear dr. v, please let byrdie come home. i miss chasing her around the house. if you let her come home, i promise not to chase her until her tummy is better. love, anna p.s. are you sure you're not just pretending she's sick so you can keep her longer? she is pretty cute...

get fuzzy
or maybe that's get fuzzier. byrdie's missing the fuzzy gene, but it doesn't look like it here (she usually hogs all the quilts auntie laura made us).

good deeds
byrdie & i are trying to be especially good for the next month or so because that santa guy's coming back. so this evening, when our crazy woman went to make up the bed with clean sheets and pillowcases, we decided we'd help. i was in charge of chasing the air bubbles out from under the sheet, while byrdie was in charge of chasing lumps out from under the sheet i was under. i don't know why she kept jumping on me, though. we finally got the bed made, but without much help from our crazy woman--she just laughed a lot.
