i'm 1!
i like birthdays! for breakfast, we had tuna (yum!), and then for dinner we had tuna again (our crazy woman says tuna leftovers are just a fact of life). and then the best part: auntie laura made me a fuzzy flannel quilt! i can't wait until it gets cold again so i can take a good nap on it (i tried it out, but it's a little too warm for today). thank you, auntie laura! i always knew you loved me best!

oops!
our crazy woman jumps out of bed pretty darn fast when a piece of pottery falls to the floor from the top of the refrigerator. i wonder how that happened, anyway?

parts of the pine tree are edible...
anna's weird. she's licking the armoire (but only that trim on the top). and once i saw her lick the bear by the fire place. auntie laura thinks she needs more fiber in her diet, but i'm kind of afraid that euell gibbons has returned from the dead.

woohoo! i won't be the baby anymore!
byrdie & i are getting a baby brother! we don't know when, and we don't know what he's going to look like, but he's going to have a great name because we get to name him! woohoo! we're starting a list (it's somewhere on our blog's main page)--if you have any suggestions, send them to me!

priorities
snoozy sisters: 1; bed-making crazy woman: 0.

clarification!
oh! wait! i'm not saying auntie laura's a hypochondriac! she really is wheezy--really, really, wheezy (and she says it's us, but that just can't be right).

crabby sisters
ok, so maybe i can understand how those crazy people like smooth, bumpless, rutless, pothole-less roads. and maybe i can understand how it takes big noisy, beeping trucks to fix the roads...but do they have to show up at 7am? why can't they show up at 5am, when anna & i get up? then they'd be done at 7 when we go back to sleep. loud, noisy, rumbly trucks: 1; crabby, sleep-deprived girlies: 0. p.s. in case anyone's worried about her, anna's not wheezy. she sneezed once. she might be a hypochondriac, though...
