the mt. armoire expedition -- december 2001 the awe-inspiring mt. armoire. mt. armoire, at an imposing 6 feet and 4 inches, has tempted moutaineers for years. on 12 december 2001, the sneaky sisters began their assault on the summit. byrdie, the first to summit mt. armoire. after a quick snack, byrdie made her way up the only viable route to the peak. after several tremendous leaps, she made the summit! anna on fireplace ridge, after summiting mt. armoire. shortly after byrdie summited, her sister joined her at the top. after a brief stay (apparently the altitude was troublesome), anna began her descent. after a short rest on fireplace ridge, anna returned to sofaville for a nap.
